How to execute hidden options in Eon
New user as of 10 minutes ago. I found the instructions for setting the window to display on top:
defaults write com.fuelcollective.eon FCKeepTimeWindowAboveOtherWindows -bool YES
But what do I do with this? I am not a ninja.
(I did find the note and pasted teh above into terminal (with Eon running and with it closed). No change to the window staying on top.
I want it on top so I don't forget to bill clients!
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,
entering it into Terminal should work. However, as Eon 2.0 was a complete rewrite with absolutely no lines of code common with Eon 1.x it is possible we've forgotten to implement some of the hidden preferences features.
I will look into it and it will be fixed in the next update.

Krystof,
Thanks. I have another question also. I used Eon all day yesterday and all of my time was recorded under 'testing eon' the first project I made. I did select other projects and they are not showing up on my log.
I even did a test for a few minutes just now in a different project and it still does not show up. There's no help file to read. How can I get my time to report within a project??? I'm sure Eon is supposed to do this.
Thanks...

Hi Dan,
when you look into the log, you get all the entries for all the projects, not just the selected one (people usually want to know how much time they've spent working in a week from our experience).
The last update also added CSV export support - the CSV file mentions the project as well.
I hope I haven't misunderstood the question. Sorry if I have...
