Permute: converting video, voices only in the right ear

Since the last update when I convert a video to MP4 the voices, and only the voices, can be heard only in the right ear. The rest of the sound works ok in both ears.

   This is weird. Does it happen with every video? Just with the MP4 preset?

   Edit: the issue might be with surround audio played on stereo speakers - then it sounds a little weird - like you've said - only in the right ear. Open the video in QuickTime Player and get info (Window > Show Movie Inspector) and copy&paste here the info.
